Great news! I will be singing the Bass solos in J.S. Bach’s monumental B minor Mass with the Bloomington Chamber Singers and the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra on Saturday, April 13, 8pm & Sunday, April 14, @ 3pm at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. So, I am required to perform three recitals for my Doctorate. My plan is to sing the entire Die Schöne Müllerin by Schubert. The second would of course be a standard recital format (various stylistic periods). Any suggestions for a third? Another idea is Dover Beach by Samuel Barber.
I’m be singing Doctor Malatesta in a trio from Don Pasquale by Donizetti and Guglielmo in a sextet from Cosi fan tutte by Mozart. The performances are June 20 and TBA @ the Musical Arts Center, 305, Bloomington, Indiana.
